Fruit Basket Wall Pocket, very colorful - Maruhon Ware Japan
This piece has a very shiny glaze that may be considered majolica.
Beautiful and large (see dollar in photo for size comparison) and colorful with lots of straight lines and angles. Check out the purple grapes, all have angles instead of being round. The straight lines and angles where nature does not put them are what makes this a true art deco design.
Excellent condition. NO chips, cracks or chigger bites.
