Captain Hook Marionette
1950's vintage, wood and composition, Disney string puppet (marionette). Produced by Peter Puppet Playthings,
"Captain HOOK",
with hook arm and three-piece suit and original wide brimmed, felt hat with feather remnant. Needs new feathers. He has a
movable mouth
and original strings are still attached along with "Unitrol" control board
This marionette was in my husbands family from Pennsylvania. Was used quite a bit in its day but still in good condition and works perfectly. Has been packed away for approximately 70 years in our family home.
All the paint is in
excellent bright condition with no repaint or repairs.
The face/head is in excellent condition. The bottom of the shoes look like the beginnings of fissure’s in the paint; see photos. The clothing is a bit faded and the neckpiece need attention.
