This listing is for an embossed or repousse quadruple plate /silver plate calling card receiver which was manufactured by Middletown Plate Company prior to 1898 when the company became part of the International Silver Company. The card receiver is marked with the Middletown maker marks along with Quadruple Plate and Hard White Metal. It stands about 5.75 inches tall and measures 5 5/8 inches wide across the rim. The silver plate is lovely as shown in the pictures and the embossed details are clear. There is a small repair to the base which can be seen in the 12th picture.
